Match notes :
Excellent game on a very sunny Sunday ! Bay Area won the toss and elected to bat , had a slow start for the first leg , but came back with a steady flow in second leg of 15 overs. Tushar was at his best hitting all over the ground ( 5 sixes),supported by Krishna and then Sunny later. Rupal took two quick wickets , made Bay area to slow down a bit. Nandu came put another break in run flow by taking another 3 quick wickets and put Bay area into very defensive mode. 15 overs : 35/1 ; 30 overs : 117/4 ; 38 overs; 153/9 ; tail end did a blast with Satish Pasa and Biju over a 42 run partnership ; strong finish in 43 overs with 195 for all out ! Spartan started their innings with a quick loss of first wicket but came back to the game quickly with Rupal and Shailesh staying steady. Krishna grabbed the second wicket on 6th over and putting again Spartan on defense for some time. Nandu came cool headed , staying steady and had a very strong partnership of 56 runs with Shailesh. On 16th over Bay area got the break through , getting two c& b in same over followed by another catch at short mid on with in couple overs , 3 quick wickets by Biju. But Nandu carried the team to victory tower with his huge sixes ! 9 sixes in his 92 run ! Superb innings by Nandu with strong support by Anish with a remarkable 36 run hit ! Was interesting to see Spartan losing two quick wickets when score was @ tie ! , they lost Anish and Nandu in a row…. Jassy had to come and hit the winning shot to take Spartan to a stupendous victory in 30 overs ! Steady run rate from beginning itself 15 overs : 82/2 ; 20 overs ; 99/5 , 30 overs ;196/7 Excellent cricket ! Umpiring was very good Mukul and Prabjot did their job well ! thanks guys !
